England legend Kevin Pietersen recently announced his retirement on Twitter. A career which began in sensational fashion ended in a whimper as he called it a day without much fanfare, a few years after he last played for England, after being dropped under controversial circumstances.
Although KP often made news for the wrong reasons, it is a fact that he is England’s greatest match-winner with the bat since Ian Botham. Pietersen played some fantastic knocks against the best at his peak.
