Sunrisers Hyderabad put up a commanding performance in match 4 of the Indian Premier League as they thrashed Rajasthan Royals by 9 wickets at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, thus getting their campaign off to a brilliant start.
After the bowlers restricted RR to 125, Sunrisers chased down the target with authority, courtesy Shikhar Dhawan, who blasted an unbeaten 77 from 55 balls. Dhawan was dropped very early in the innings by opposition captain Ajinkya Rahane and Dhawan made them pay for it, smashing 13 fours and a six.

The move to promote Wriddhiman Saha to open in place of the banned David Warner did not work. However. Dhawan found able company in skipper Kane Williamson as the duo took Sunrisers home. He hit three fours and a six in his unbeaten 36.
Earlier, the Sunrisers bowlers were all over Royals restricting them to a below par total. Only Sanju Samson with 49 from 42 balls could make any sort of impact. For Sunrisers, Shakib Al Hasan and Siddharth Kaul picked two wickets each while Rashid Khan, Billy Stanlake and Bhuvneshwar Kumar got one wicket each.
