Mumbai Indians will take on Delhi Daredevils in Match 9 of the Indian Premier League 2018 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday. Both Mumbai and Delhi lost their opening two matches. Mumbai Indians went down to Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad in thrillers while Delhi Daredevils failed to stand up to Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals.
Like every year, Mumbai Indians have again started badly. They wouldn’t be too worried though. Runs from skipper Rohit Sharma will help. Also, people like Evin Lewis and Kieron Pollard need to get bigger scores. The bowlers have done well though, the young Mayank Markande being particularly impressive.
Dream XI for Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils: Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma (C), Jasprit Bumrah, Pat Cummins, Suryakumar Yadav, Mayank Markande, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Mustafizur Rahman, Mitchell McClenaghan, Ishan Kishan
Delhi Daredevils were unlucky against Rajasthan Royals as rain interrupted most of their chances of win. Earlier, they failed to make an impression against Kings XI Punjab as well. Skipper Gautam Gambhir will be seeking some inspiration to turn the tide around. He would need the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Chris Morris and Colin Munro to do well. In Trent Boult, Shahbaz Nadeem and Mohammed Shami they have match-winning bowlers.
