Two struggling sides, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils will face each other in match number 19 of the Indian Premier League at Bengaluru on Saturday. Bangalore and Daredevils are in the bottom two, with just one win from four matches each. RCB went down to Mumbai Indians and DD to Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous match.
Virat Kohli played a sensational knock against Mumbai Indians, but it was enough for them to overcome Rohit Sharma’s men. Kohli personally has been in excellent form with 57 and 92 not out respectively. But, what they need now is better efforts from the experienced Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers as well as Brendon McCullum.
Bangalore will have to do much better in the bowling department. They have given away 200 plus runs in the previous two games at home. The spin duo of Yuzuvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar hasn’t worked for them. That will need to change.
Dream XI for Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Delhi Daredevils: Virat Kohli (C), Murugan Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Quinton de Kock (W), AB de Villiers, Sarfaraz Khan, Brendon McCullum, Mandeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Chris Woakes, Umesh Yadav
Delhi are also struggling in most departments. Gautam Gambhir’s side was undone by KKR rather easily. Their only performance of note came against Mumbai Indians when Jason Roy singlehandedly won the game for them with an unbeaten 91. Luckily, Mohammed Shami will be available for them after his police investigation related to the case related to his wife.
Roy’s one knock apart, Delhi’s batsmen have been rather poor. Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell will have to convert their starts while the likes of skipper Gambhir and Shreyas Iyer will also need to raise their game.
Dream XI for Delhi Daredevils vs Royal Challengers Bangalore: Gautam Gambhir (C), Trent Boult, Shreyas Iyer, Glenn Maxwell, Amit Mishra, Mohammed Shami, Chris Morris, Shahbaz Nadeem, Naman Ojha, Rishabh Pant (W), Jason Roy
