IPL 2018 Match 42! DD vs SRH: CN’s Dream XI for Delhi Daredevils and Sunrisers Hyderabad

Delhi Daredevils, who are all but out of IPL 2018, will take on the consistent Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number 42 of the Indian Premier League 2018 at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi. Delhi have merely six points from 10 matches and a bad net run rate. Sunrisers Hyderabad, in contrast, are sitting pretty on top of the table, and are almost assured of a place in the playoffs with eight wins from 10 games.

In the first game after taking over as captain from Gautam Gambhir, Shreyas Iyer raised hopes for the team with a match-winning display. That now looks like a distant dream. If anything, their young batting line-up has impressed. Rishabh Pant had close to 400 runs to his name while Iyer himself has 350. Prithvi Shaw has also stood out in the games he has featured in.

In the bowling, Trent Boult has picked up 13 wickets, but has been expensive. Liam Plunkett, on the other hand, has not continued from where he started off. Glenn Maxwell has been a major letdown. Further, injuries and weather have also hampered Delhi’s cause.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have always found heroes to pull them out of trouble. Kane Williamson has led from the front with 410 runs. Shakib Al Hasan has got more than 150 runs as well as 10 wickets. The decision to send Alex Hales up has also proved to be a positive one. Shikhar Dhawan though needs to pick up his game again.

It goes without saying that Hyderabad have the best attack in IPL 2018. Rashid Khan has 13 wickets from 10 matches. The others have also fit in nicely. Hyderabad have defended a number of low totals in the tournament. What they need to learn though is chase down totals.
