Pakistan hammered England in the first Test at Lord’s by nine wickets. While there is still a long way to go in the series, there are chances that the current series might go the way of 1992, when Pakistan literally bulldozed the Englishmen at latter’s home with their batting might.
Lords’s Test 1992
The series, which is famous for the manner in which the two Ws — Wasim and Waqar — outwitted England, which subsequently led to ball tampering allegations and an enquiry. Pakistan won the Test series 2–1 against a strong English batting line-up comprising of Alec Stewart, Graham Gooch and Robin Smith.
