Ireland Women will look to put up a much-improved performance when they take on the rampant New Zealand Women at Dublin on June 10.
New Zealand created history by smashing 490 in the first ODI of the series, which is a world record in ODIs, and winning the match by a massive margin of 346 runs.
New Zealand’s triumph against Ireland was built around a sensational 151 by skipper Suzie Bates. There was also a blistering hundred by Maddy Green while Amelia Kerr smashed an unbeaten 81 from merely 45 balls.
In response, Ireland were rolled over for 144. Leigh Kasperek was the star for New Zealand with exceptional figures of 4 for 17 in 2.3 overs.
