Happy Birthday Javed Miandad! Twitter wishes Pakistan legend as he turns 61

One of Pakistan’s, and unarguably the world’s greatest batsmen, Pakistan’s Javed Miandad turned 61 today.

A versatile batsman, Miandad has to be credit 8,832 Test runs, 7,381 ODI runs, and also a total of 31 centuries across the two formats.

He has featured in the most number of World Cups for Pakistan, appearing in every edition from 1975 to 1996. Miandad also played a stellar role in Pakistan’s World Cup triumph Down Under in 1992.

Indians hate him for the sole reason that he hit a six off the last ball in a Sharjah match against them in 1986, and the impact was so brutal that Pakistan went on to dominate India for the next decade. However, Miandad’s legacy is much beyond that scintillating six. On his birthday, Twitterati paid glowing tributes to him, most pointing out to his glorious record.
