Having been thrashed mercilessly in the opening ODI at Bulawayo, Zimbabwe would look to put up some resistance when they take on a high on confidence Pakistan in the second match at the same venue on Monday.
Pakistan were all over Zimbabwe in the opening ODI, winning by a mammoth 201 runs.
Opener Imam-ul-Haq was the star of the show with the bat smashing a fluent 128. The other opener Fakhar Zaman chipped in with 60. With the ball then, Shadab Khan was brilliant with 4 for 32 while Faheem Ashraf and Usman Khan claimed two wickets each.
The Zimbabwe batsmen were completely at sea against Pakistan’s bowlers. Experienced men like skipper Hamilton Masakadza and Chamu Chibhabha need to put their hands up. Among the bowlers, only Tendai Chatara created some sort of impression.
Likely XI (Pakistan): Sarfraz Ahmed (C), Asif Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir, Usman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Imam-ul-Haq, Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik.
